Open space only
Work near a window or outdoors. Fresh air is important when working with resin.
Always wear gloves
Resin is sticky and can irritate skin. Gloves are included in your kit.
Do not touch uncured resin
Wait the full 48 hours. Touching early ruins the surface finish.
Keep your area clean
Lay newspaper on your table before you pour. Resin drips are hard to remove.
Step by step

Your first resin piece, start to finish

Seven steps. That is all it takes to go from liquid resin to a finished product in your hands.

Prepare your workspace
Cover your table, open a window, and put on your gloves before touching anything

Measure resin and hardener
3 parts resin to 1 part hardener. Use the measuring cup included in your kit

Mix slowly
Stir for 3 to 5 minutes. Slow and steady prevents bubbles from forming

Add your color
A few drops of pigment is all you need. Less is more, especially for beginners

Pour into the mould
Pour slowly from low height to avoid trapping air pockets inside

Remove bubbles
Pass the heat tool quickly over the surface. Bubbles pop instantly.

Let it cure for 48 hours
Leave flat, do not touch. Wake up to a finished, glass-like piece.
Common mistakes

Do not do this

Five mistakes every beginner makes. Read this once and avoid all of them.

Wrong ratio
Always 3:1. More or less and your piece will stay sticky
Mixing too fast
Fast mixing traps air bubbles. Slow and steady always wins
Too much color
Overloading pigment stops the resin from curing properly
Touching early
Touching uncured resin leaves permanent fingerprints. Wait 48 hours.
Humid environment
Moisture prevents curing. Always work in a dry, ventilated space
